For HVAC installers
PeakShift pulls 12 months of metered electricity data from the homeowner's utility, estimates the design heat load, checks the panel and the rebates, and builds a Good, Better, Best proposal you can send the same day.

The method
A usage-based estimate (energy signature method) built from 12 months of metered electricity data. Fast enough for the first visit, grounded in how the house actually uses energy.
Summer months set the baseload. Whatever rises above it in the cold months is heating, measured from the meter, not guessed from square footage.
Heating use is regressed against heating degree days to find the balance point and how many kWh the house needs per degree of cold.
The fit is extended to the 99% design temperature for the postal code (CSA F280-12 / OBC SB-1) to estimate the design heat load in BTU/h.
For quoting and pre-sizing. A full CSA F280-12 room-by-room calculation is still required for permitting.

Before you quote
Will it fit the electrical service, and what will the homeowner get back? PeakShift answers both before the proposal goes out.
A demand calculation in the style of ESA Rule 8-200 for 100 A and 200 A service, including backup heat strips, with a printable load sheet for your electrician.

FAQ
No. PeakShift produces a usage-based heating load estimate (energy signature method) from the home’s 12 months of metered usage and heating degree days, using design temperatures per CSA F280-12 / OBC SB-1. It replaces square-footage guesswork at the quoting stage. A full CSA F280-12 room-by-room calculation is still required for permitting.
